DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY
The Department of Physiology is a fully established department and has the all the facilities as per MCI guidelines with various laboratories like Haematology Lab, Clinical Physiology Lab, Mammalian Lab, Amphibian Lab and Research Lab.
Haematology lab has separate self illuminated microscope for each student to do all the haematological investigations
Clinical lab includes all the necessary instruments to practice clinical examination
Mammalian lab & Amphibian lab has the facility to do various animal experiments
The modernized Research Lab has got 12 channel ECG, EEG machine, polygraphs, bicycle erograph, spirometer, pHmeter. Facilities to conduct various neurological studies like VEP, BERA, Nerve conduction studies are also available.

DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY
Department of biochemistry has a good infrastructure with well-furnished and equipped laboratory service. It is empowered with faculties from various prestigious institutions with students achieving 100% pass percentage in 2019 university examination. The student’s practical laboratory is well furnished and it can accommodate 60 students at a time.
DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY
The department of pathology is a dynamic department with young, talented and dedicated faculties graduated from all over India. The department contributes significantly to the curriculum in medical education.
The department has three major divisions namely histopathology, cytology and clinical pathology. The department has established a museum with rare specimens to provide first hand exposure to gross pathology and a library with latest reference books.
The Histopathology laboratory is well equipped and reports the cases within specific time span. The cytology wing examines the cells aspirated and exfoliated from various sites. It also provides Papsmear, the best screening method for cervical cancer. The clinical pathology lab provides services like Haematology, coagulation and body fluid analysis.In par with modernisation, the department has automated Haematology, urine and ESR analyser to give quick and reliable reports.
The department has a demonstration room with latest audiovisual aids to teach the students.
With well trained technician, our department has grown from scratches to leaps and bounds and is marching forward for advanced technologies.

DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY MEDICINE
Activities in the last one year:
- CME programme was conducted on the occasion of, “World Malaria Day” on April 25 with the theme, “Ready to beat Malaria”.
- Competition was conducted among MBBS students for making entomology models and charts and prizes were distributed to the winners.
- Orientation and training sessions were conducted for preventive and control measures of Nipah virus infection for medical officers and staff nurses.
- Health education and awareness rally was conducted on the occasion of anti-tuberculosis day in collaboration with the department of Pulmonology.
- Anti-Leprosy fortnight was observed in the month of February 2018 and the medical students were trained regarding the various screening methods available to detect the disease and to identify the leprosy cases as early as possible.
- School health camps were conducted and awareness was created among the school students regarding dengue fever.
- Under Swach Bharat programme, training sessions were conducted regarding maintenance of personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, environmental sanitation and proper segregation and disposal of wastes.
- Rallies and health education campaigns were conducted on the occasion of world diabetes day, road safety week and world AIDS day.
- Students were taken to the urban field practice area to orient them in various community and national health programme and also to train them in primary care.
- Tree saplings were planted to celebrate world environment day.

DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SURGERY
So to say we in our department of general surgery perform a wonder full work. We have 100 beds all together and work as three units. We have a separate ward for burns patient. We have two state of the art imported modular operation theatres which are well equipped. we have a well equipped surgical intensive care unit with cordiac monitors, defibrillators, central suction and central oxygen supply.
we in our dept do a humpty number of routine surgeries like hernias, varicose veins and haemorrhoids. A huge number of major surgeries like Thyroidectomy, Modified Radical Mastectomy and Gastrectomies are being done routinely.
We have operated on rare cases like branchial cleft cyst, Thyroglossal cyst, Spigilian Hernia.
Our laparoscopic team is a well trained one. We routinely take up Lap. Appendicectomy, Lap. Cholicystecyomy and Lap. Hernia repair. We also do lap. Fundoplication occasionally
Department of Radiodiagnosis
Our department is equipped with 100 mA, 500 mA and 800mA with IITV static x ray machines, two 100mA mobile xrays, and two ultrasonogram with color Doppler machines.
Plain x rays, contrast procedures like Barium swallow, barium meal series and barium enema, fistulogram, IVU, MCU, AUG are done. Fluroscopy is also performed.
Ultrasound imaging of infant crainum, neck, abdomen and pelvis, obstetrics – I, II, III trimester ultrasound with doppler, NT scan and Anomaly scan are done. High frequency ultrasound is done for small parts and soft tissue.
Colour Doppler for varying indications are performed for CV doppler, extremity arterial and venous Doppler, renal artery Doppler.
Ultrasound guided procedures like FNAC, BIOPSY, ABSCESS/COLLECTION DRAINAGE, PLEURAL/ ASCITIC FLUID ASPIRATION are also done.
24×7 emergency radiography and ultrasonography service is available.
DEPARTMENT OF DENTAL SURGERY
Dept of dental surgery aimed and concern about every insured patient should get all kind of dental treatment in highly sterile environment and excellent quality of treatment. Our desires to give most comfortable dental treatment possible has motivated us to implement the latest dental treatment to our patients.
The line of treatment available in our hospital from basic to advanced procedure like dental extraction, surgical removal of impacted tooth, fracture of maxilla and mandible management, alveoplasty, gingivoplasty, gingivectomy, frenectomy, operculectomy, dental alveolar abscess management etc.
In near future we are planning to implement Rotary Endodontic root canal treatment to save the painful tooth and replacement of missing teeth &further advanced procedures to our insured patient .
DEPARTMENT OF ORTHOPAEDICS
Department of orthopaedic surgery is taking care for prevention and treatment of all diseases and trauma in out and in patients. Facilities available are 24 hours emergency, speciality clinic, arthroplasty clinic, hand clinic& arthroscopy clinic are conducted with an average of 150 out patients. Department is equipped with 3 modular operation theatre with state of the art facility, physiotherapy and 40 bedded In-Patient department simultaneously impacting knowledge to undergraduate students. In our department all types of surgery e.g THR,TKR,SPINAL Surgery and arthroscopic surgery along with general orthopaedics surgery and corrective surgery for deformities are performed.

DEPARTMENT OF TB & RESPIRATORY MEDICINE
Outpatients Services:
We are treating all tuberculosis patients including sputum positive and sputum negative pulmonary tuberculosis and extra pulmonary tuberculosis.
Screening for tuberculosis who attending out patients in the department of TB & Chest Diseases.
We are treating bronchial asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, bronchitis, carcinoma of lung, interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary fungal diseases, occupational lung diseases.
We are treating paediatric pulmonary cases like paediatric tuberculosis, paediatric bronchial asthma cases.
Inpatients Services
We are admitting all tuberculosis patients, COPD cases with exacerbation, bronchial asthma with exacerbation, old tuberculosis patients and it sequelae.
Emergency Services
We are providing intensive care treatment in IMCU for corpulmonale, respiratory failure, acute exacerbation of COPD and acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma.
DOTS Centre
We are providing DOTS TB treatment for new and previously treated TB patients and DOTS PLUS REGIMEN for MDR – TB patients.

Outpatient Services:
Our department is equipped with state of art workstation. Both diagnostic and therapeutic management can be handled well.
Emergency Services:
For patients with emergencies like giddiness, epistaxis, stridor, FB and trauma are attended round the clock through our Casualty and OPD.
Operative Procedures:
- Paediatric ENT procedures like Adenotonsillectomy, Endoscopic removal of FBs.
- Microsurgery like Myringotomy& grommet insertion, mastoidectomy.
- Endoscopic nasal surgeries like septoplasty and sinus surgeries.
- Laryngeal procedures like DL Scopy, Tracheostomy.

Apart from regular operative and emergency patients we have ENT oncology section which caters cases needing radio and chemotherapy.

The department of forensic medicine is a well-established department and has all the facilities and faculties as per MCI guidelines. It has well equipped museum containing various pathological specimens, plant specimens, weapon sand charts and posters.
The department has recently got government order for performing autopsies in its all equipped mortuary.
We also have independent library for faculties and students with exclusive forensic medicine and toxicology books, articles and journals.
Various students activities including seminars and competitive symposium has been conducted this academic year. Students also haveparticipated in online quiz competitions conducted this year at various colleges.
